Ariana Grande is opening up in a new interview and has spoken out about the tabloid attention amid her relationship with Wicked co-star, Ethan Slater.
The rumored celebrity couple have not officially confirmed they’re an item, although they probably don’t need to. Without mentioning the situation directly, Ariana Grande has now opened up about public narratives, and how tabloid attention affects the audience’s perception.
Ariana Grande seemingly addresses Ethan Slater ‘criticism’
Amid her ongoing relationship with Ethan Slater, which received criticism, the star has opened up on how she feels about the tabloids.
“We selectively remember that this is what the tabloids do to people, especially women, based on whether or not we like the person,” she said in an interview on the Zach Sang Show.
“They don’t leave space for that, well they do for their friends and their family, it’s selective. They turn it off when that aligns with a version of a person that they have in their head that they want to believe is true,” she continued.
Seemingly referencing her relationship with the SpongeBob Squarepants actor, the 7 Rings singer said: “We don’t need to go into any specifics, but of course, there’s an insatiable frustration, inexplicable, hellish feeling with watching people misunderstand the people you love and you and anything.”
The 30-year-old then went on to tease that her new album, Eternal Sunshine which will be released next week, ‘quietens the misunderstanding.’
The singer and her ex-husband Dalton Gomez filed for divorce in September, after being separated since February 2023, as written in documents. Ethan Slater filed for divorce from his high school sweetheart, Lilly Jay in July.
The star ‘makes fans faint’ with her latest post
As she promotes her seventh studio album, Ariana took to her Instagram to post a number of slay pics wearing a floral mini skirt with matching boots, and fans were overjoyed.
The star posed crouching down with her hands on her face, showing off her tattoos, and her figure, in all their glory.
Fellow music star Nicki Minaj was a fan of the pics, as she left a heart-eye emoji, while fans underneath int he comments went wild.
“You posted these so casually ….. and we all fainted,” wrote one.
Another said: “Broke the mother scale.”
A third gushed: “I’m shaking in my boots…….. at your boots.”
